Miami’s Opportunity Generator Hosted Its 9th Annual Support-A-Scholar Celebration Honoring 30 Years of Breakthroughs.

Celebrating 30 years of transformative work as Miami’s Opportunity Generator, Breakthrough Miami hosted its Annual
Support-A-Scholar Celebration on Saturday, November 13, 2021. The Celebration recognizes the support of hundreds of families, foundations, corporate and community partners who together raised over $1,000,000 this year to ensure highly motivated, traditionally marginalized Scholars are supported to achieve post-secondary success and develop as leaders. 

Breaking through 30, the celebration was a breakalicious reunion for the history books. Attendees danced under the stars on the THesis Hotel’s Paseo and enjoyed gourmet bites from the best of Miami’s culinary scene. Top-shelf libations flowed while guests posed for digital caricatures and were entertained by a dazzling female roller skating duo and an energetic performance by local breakdancers. Support-A-Scholar was the season’s ultimate “party with a purpose”, igniting the investments to deliver a highly acclaimed, award-winning program.
