Parners In Opportunity – Career Day 2021
Thirty years as Miami’s Opportunity Generator doesn’t happen without good partners. Our 2021 Career Day was a phenomenal success, thanks to our dynamic corporate and community collaborators and the enthusiasm of our Scholars! A highly anticipated part of the summer experience for our 200+ 8th graders, our annual Career Day provides students unique inside looks at industry, inspiring future career paths and building critical skills for their academic and professional lives ahead.
This year our Scholars were introduced to careers in a broad diversity of fields including health sciences, sports management, engineering, architecture, luxury brand sales and marketing, entrepreneurship, and hospitality.
Aligned with our project-based learning curricular approach, Career Day at Breakthrough Miami offers students engaging, hands-on immersion and purposeful networking with both emerging and experienced professionals.
Special thanks to our Career Day sponsor Assurant for generously underwriting our transportation, enabling Scholars to access new horizons.
