St. Thomas Episcopal Parish School Goes the Extra Mile for Breakthrough Miami
The St. Thomas Episcopal Parish School community laced up their running shoes, hit the pavement, and made a powerful impact by hosting another incredible Alumni 5K & Fun Run in support of Breakthrough Miami on February 1, 2025. From students and parents to faculty and friends, the energy was unstoppable, and the generosity was unmatched — leading to a record-breaking day!
With an unprecedented 833 participants, this event raised nearly $30,000, supporting 6 Scholars through a full year of Breakthrough Miami’s transformational 8-year journey—making this the most successful STEPS 5K yet!
At Breakthrough Miami, we believe in the power of education, mentorship, and opportunity to transform lives. Seeing an entire community come together—running with purpose, cheering for one another, and rallying behind our mission—was truly inspiring. This event wasn’t just about the miles covered, but the opportunities created for the Scholars we serve.
Thanks to the dedication and generosity of St. Thomas Episcopal Parish School, the funds raised from the Alumni 5K & Fun Run will help provide essential resources, mentorship, and academic support that empower our Scholars to reach their full potential.
To those who participated, volunteered, and supported this event—thank you! For 14 years, St. Thomas Episcopal Parish School community has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to Breakthrough Miami, and this year’s record-breaking 5K was no exception. We are grateful to have you as part of our Breakthrough Village and look forward to continuing this journey together, creating transformative educational experiences for the next generation of leaders.
