Shoutout to Breakthrough Miami Volunteer CHANGEMAKER, Kate Bogle! ✏️

Fully immersing herself in her role as a CHANGEMAKER, Kate goes above and beyond for our Scholars and general Breakthrough programming at our Miami Country Day School host site. With experience as a lead Volunteer Changemaker teaching 5th-grade environmental science and now our 6th-grade arts lead, Kate embodies what it means to Change Lives and Create Leaders.

Furthering her impact, Kate has served as the Breakthrough @Miami_Country_Day_School Co-President for two years. Helping to amplify Breakthrough across campus, she is helping grow and lead the club, generating excitement and awareness around our program. Throughout her multiple roles, Kate has consistently kept a radiant and positive attitude, ensuring others feel right at home.

During our Race to Breakthrough season, Kate played a pivotal role in rallying Miami Country Day students to join our Race efforts. She was a great leader during the "Walk with Purpose" event during our second Super Saturday, and was an active participant for our in-person Volunteer orientation, where she actively supported new Changemakers.

When she graduates in 2026, Kate is seeking to pursue a degree in psychology at @UFlorida.

Shoutout to Breakthrough Miami Volunteer CHANGEMAKER, Victorio Lorandi-Arias! ✏️

Victorio embodies what it means to be a CHANGEMAKER; To step up, take initiative, and give his all. As the @PalmerTrinity student leader for Race to Breakthrough, Victorio worked tirelessly to spread awareness about the event, rally support, and inspire others to get involved. His determination and passion made a lasting impact on the success of the campaign.

Beyond his leadership, Victorio holds Breakthrough and our Scholars close to his heart. He is always present, always ready to do what’s best for our community, and is always eager to go the extra mile. His charisma and dedication over his 3 years with Breakthrough Miami have not only strengthened our family at Palmer Trinity, but have also helped welcome new students into our Village.

When he graduates in 2026, Victorio wants to major in business and is considering studying at @Northeastern, Southern Methodist University (@smudallas), or @TexasChristianUniversity.

Shoutout to Breakthrough Miami Scholar and Law Enforcement Memorial Sr. High student, Da'Nasia Colin! 🍎

Da'Nasia's "breakthrough" from a middle school student to a Breakthrough U (@UnivMiami) Scholar should be studied. Throughout her years as a Scholar and responsibilities as a Volunteer, Leader, Program Advocate, and Ambassador, Da'Nasia has demonstrated exceptional program engagement. She is a glowing example of how Scholars can leverage the foundational years of middle school programming to pursue excellence in high school, at BreakthroughU, and beyond. 🎓

Leveling up in every way she can, Da'Nasia served as a Summer Teaching Assistant, serves as a changemaker lead in Entrepreneurship, and as a Breakthrough U Scholar Council member. As a student at @leomhs.warriors, she is the Class of 2028 President, was selected as Ms. Sophomore, serves as the Dance Club President, is a @Carnival Scholar, and a Social Media manager for Booker T. Washington's (@btw.shs) Cheerleaders (@btwcheerleading). Da'Nasia consistently exudes our "breakalicious" spirit, and she's only getting started.

When she graduates in 2028, Da'Nasia is interested in pursuing a degree in legal studies. 📜

#Shoutout to Breakthrough Miami Volunteer CHANGEMAKER, Micaela Pal! ✏️

Dedicated to her role as a Changemaker and going above and BEYOND, Micaela was instrumental in Gulliver Prep's success during the 2025 Race to Breakthrough as one of our student captains. Micaela collaboratively crafted creative ways to have @GulliverPrep_ faculty and staff participate in the Race to Breakthrough. Aside from this, Micaela regularly encourages fellow Changemakers to create their own elective classes and teach our Scholars their favorite subjects.

Extending her leadership and impact to her school community, Micaela is a member of the Chinese Club, Breakthrough Club at Gulliver, Politico Society, GPAWS, Jewish Student Union, and Dish Out Kindness.

Upon graduating in 2027, Micaela's future goals include to attend @Columbia University, become a corporate lawyer, and become fluent in Mandarin.

A passionate educator, Jameelah has more than a decade of experience in the education field. Throughout her career, she has served in a variety of impactful roles, including as a Literacy Coach, Exceptional Student Education Program Specialist, Behavior Management Teacher, and Assistant Principal/Dean of Students. Each position has deepened her commitment to supporting students and strengthening school communities.

Jameelah holds a bachelor's degree in early elementary education, a master’s in educational leadership, and a graduate certificate in applied behavior analysis. She is passionate about supporting growth and creating positive, meaningful experiences for students and colleagues alike.

A proud mother, Jameelah balances her professional and personal life with care and enthusiasm, and she is excited to join our Breakthrough Miami team!

#Shoutout to Breakthrough Miami Scholar and Maya Angelou Elementary student, Naydeling Gutierrez! 🍎

Naydeling is a shining star, eagerly arriving and participating at all our Super Saturdays! Naydeling always gets off the bus with a huge smile on her face and arrives with the warmest greetings for all of her friends, teachers, and our Breakthrough staff alike. During class, Naydeling always tries her best and approaches every task with thoughtfulness, creativity, and genuine passion. One of her biggest passions is spreading awareness for causes that are important to her, such as the segment she did by herself during an All Staff meeting to help raise awareness for Breast Cancer in October.

Outside of Breakthrough and school, Naydeling's hobbies include creating art, mainly through drawing, painting, or making bracelets, including some that she has specifically created for our Breakthrough Miami staff.

Naydeling's future goals include becoming doctor or an artist, and attending the University of Miami (@UnivMiami).

#Shoutout to Breakthrough Miami Volunteer CHANGEMAKER, Moise Telfort! ✏️

As a highly dedicated changemaker at our @RansomEvergladesSchool host site, Moise consistently steps up and takes the lead whenever he is presented with an opportunity to make a Breakthrough possible. Having begun his Breakthrough journey as a Scholar, this summer Moise embraced a first-time role as a Teaching Fellow, and is now serving as a Co-Lead Changemaker working with our 5th Grade Scholars. Moise is seen as both a big brother figure and a respected leader to many of our Scholars and volunteers alike. Through health and injury, Moise has remained a steadfast and loyal member of our Breakthrough Village.

Moving forward, Moise would like to use his growing knowledge of Computer Science as a tool for access, efficiency and impact, seeking ways to help uplift as many people as possible. One of his goals is to use coding as a gateway to higher education for people in low income communities, while additionally equipping them with valuable life skills. Moise's desire to be a mentor is one that he has already been realizing during his years at Breakthrough Miami.

#Shoutout to Breakthrough Miami Scholar, Perczxivell Arcilla! 🍎

Perczxivell is a highly engaged, authentic, and humble Scholar who carries herself with integrity and true Breakthrough spirit. As a Scholar and student at @Miami_Country_Day_School, Perczxivell has made a positive impact on her friends and fellow peers through her willingness to always lend a helping hand. An artistic and creative student, Perczxivell loves to draw and sketch, read books, and is a talented singer.

Perczxivell is an active member at her school’s Singing for Stage, the Chess club, Robotics (Cyber Spartan) Club, and the Swimming team. Outside of her academic responsibilities, Perczxivell enjoys watching @Netflix, anime, and reading manga. Additionally, she possesses a very adventurous spirit and loves to travel.

Upon graduating in 2031, Perczxivell aims to receive scholarships to fulfill her goal of attending her dream medical school, @Harvard. She also hopes to become a psychiatrist or psychologist to be able to assist children and teenagers in sorting out their feelings and traumas, and help them cope with their day-to-day stressors.

Continuing her pursuits, Perczxivell wishes to become a Global Citizen and have the ability to travel the world, meet and make new friends with different people, experience different cultures, learn their basic languages, taste and eat different foods, and discover the many ways in which we are all similar.

The world is your oyster, Perczxivell! 👏
