At Breakthrough Miami, our DREAMSCAPE of potential and possibility is limitless!

Wine Women & Shoes 2024 exuded with our signature breakalicious spirit and energy. A beautiful reflection of our program and mission, the event galvanized a diverse, influential, and community-minded village of partners and supporters, stepping up, leaning in, and investing. The remarkable commitments made as part of Wine Women & Shoes ensure young people with limitless potential have the OPPORTUNITY TO DREAM.

Together, we soared to new heights, raising an unprecedented $675,000 to fuel the dreams of 135 Scholars through Breakthrough Miami’s transformative programming. Our new partnership with Missoni reached beyond the spotlights of the highly anticipated fashion show, showcasing with authenticity and heart, our shared commitment to excellence and innovation.

Jamar Howard, Breakthrough Scholar, Teaching Fellow, and graduating senior was the subject of a riveting mini-documentary chronicling his life’s journey. This, along with Jamar’s captivating performance, served as the emotional cornerstone of the event. We invite our Village to take five minutes to be inspired and moved by Jamar’s story.

Purposefully extending impact and engagement, Wine Women & Shoes cultivated countless opportunities. We were thrilled to welcome Christian Louboutin, as exclusive SoleMate highlighting their collaboration with Japanese artist, Shun Sudo and the button flower collection. We also ignited a new collaboration with Kappa Alpha Psi; and new partnerships with Natura Bisse, Ximena Kavalekas, Assouline, Aaron Basha, and Regine Basha, which will unlock new experiences for our Scholars during the year.

A resounding and heartfelt thanks to the Rubell Museum for graciously and warmly opening its doors to host this impactful event. The incredible collection, galleries, and event space embrace artistic creativity, contemporary perspectives, and unconventional ideas. We encourage our Village to return with friends and family and support the Rubell Museum, a unique asset in our community.

We also celebrated an illustrious wine tasting with the generous sponsorship by Justin Vineyards & Winery, along with our esteemed wine, champagne and spirits partners, Tattinger Woellfer, Cotes de Femme, Merryvale, Adobe Road, Penfolds, Atian Gin, Una Vodka and La Leyenda. And to wrap the event with a sparkling bow, guests were invited by special guest, Giacomo Missoni, to shop and mingle during the Veuve Clicquot afterparty with delectable desserts by Frudeco and Brigadeiros by Clarice Abrantes.
